The YouTube playlist with the guide vocals for the show can be found here. Please help your child practice his/her songs! Rehearsals run much more smoothly when the kids practice the music at home.
We've also asked the kids to memorize their lines by January 9. This gives them all of Christmas break to practice. It is so much easier to rehearse when the kids aren't reading from scripts, and they feel much more confident during performances when they've been memorized for so long. We understand that our leads have a lot of lines and music to memorize, but we're confident that they are able to meet this deadline. Some tips for memorization:
- Repetition, repetition, repetition!
- Practice the lines with them with you reading for the other characters.
- Memorize the lines before/after--remembering the flow of the story can help you remember individual lines.
